PERENCO-REP participated, from June 12th to June 13th, 2012, in the Grand Hotel Kinshasa (GHK), to the RSE roundtable on social and corporate responsibility. The meeting was organized by the Social Fund of the DRC, a structure under the supervision of the Presidency of the Republic.
In its booth in GHK, the oil company has exhibited some of the achievements of its corporate and social responsibility program. Perenco contributes annually to important share of the country's national budget. It must also, through conventional obligation, dedicate annually 210 000 USD budget for social activities.
But Perenco does not limit its actions to this conventional part: through an intensive additional program, it is more than two million dollar that Perenco spends annually, benefiting to the communities of the Muanda Territory and its immediate surroundings.
