Perenco, seen through the eyes of Muanda

Perenco has initiated an exciting new film project in DRC, aimed at showing the positive impact that the company is having on the City of Muanda and its surrounding villages, by showing a number of community projects through the eyes of the people who are actually benefitting from them.

During November a French-Congolese film crew travelled to Muanda to make the film, starring the local inhabitants.

The film focuses on the presence of Perenco in the area over the last three years and the tangible benefits this has brought to the city.  Perenco is extremely proud to be playing a part in Muanda's transitioning into a prospering city, which will bring widespread advantage not only to its own citizens, but to the country as a whole.

For the film, the local population were invited to tell their stories, which was an opportunity to witness a range of  local initiatives, as well as highlighting the full potential of Muanda as a prospering city.

The premiere of the film was held in the gardens of the Muanda library on November 15th and allowed those who took part to view an early-cut of the movie. The final editing of the film, to be called "Muanda, an  evolving city", is currently taking place in France and will be finalized by the end of the year.
