Success for Tshiala Work-over campaign in DRC

The Tshiala work-over campaign will be achieved with the completion of the TSH-02 WIW work-over later this month. This campaign has included the conversions of five wells from gaslift to ESP and the re-completion of four water injection wells.

The newly installed ESPs were started last week and initial results indicate over 4,500 bopd of incremental production. This brings the Subsidiary production to more than 25,000 bopd for the first time in many years. It is the conclusion of a major investment of 75 MUSD by the two Perenco subsidiaries operating in DRC: onshore PERENCO REP has built and commissioned a 12 MW Power Plant which supplies the electrical power for both this offshore project and the existing onshore producing fields and MIOC - Perenco's offshore operating company has installed the offshore power cables, flowlines, surface electrical equipment and performed the workovers on the nine wells using the Hercules 156 jackup.

The producing wells will be now closely monitored and optimised. Reservoir pressure will be maintained and balanced with the offtake among the different reservoir layers utilizing Perenco's proprietary select-a-zone water injection completion.

The total incremental reserves unlocked by this project should exceed 10 MMstb.
