Since 2001, Perenco has run a public library in the city of Muanda.
The Perenco Library houses more than 10, 000 books and periodicals, for all ages, including a video library. The library is very popular and more than 3,000 people have joined, including many school children and students.It is also one of the few places where internet access is readily available to the public.
Supporting the local culture and providing access to knowledge play an important role in helping the local population achieve welcome economic development.
