Liawenda

Since taking over the Liawenda field in 2000, production has significantly increased thanks to Perenco's investment in new production wells (about 25 per year) required to complete the development by primary recovery, and to start secondary recovery.

This has been initiated with:

  • Water injection to flush the remaining oil towards the producing wells
  • Conversion of some of the production wells into injection wells
  • Drilling of infill wells to improve the sweep efficiency
