Muanda-Makelekese

To ensure the profitable development of this marginal field, situated close to the city of Muanda, Perenco adopted a strategy that was both highly efficient and cost effective. Perenco :

  • Installed a gas power station in Kinkasi station to supply all its electrical needs
  • Rationalised the production pipeline network
  • Developed appropriate drilling techniques to reduce the development costs
  • Appraised the extent of the fields through the drilling of producing and delineation wells
  • Engaged in a thorough consultation process with the local communities and authorities to ensure the smooth integration of the operations into their area.
